While waiting for my wife in the doctors waiting room I noticed an illegal take refuge from the outdoor heat by planting herself in a chair for an hour plus, make repeated phone calls, and then simply get up and leave. There was no effort by staff to verify and monitor who was walking in and out of Eye Centers of Florida. I will encourage my wife to seek a different physician at a different location as a means of minimizing the potential for a criminal act to be perpetrated against an unsuspecting individual waiting to see the doctor.
Since the change in management this has become a terrible facility to visit. The wait is atrocious , the staff doesn't seem to care and communication to present patient is horrible,. I made my last visit today. I didn't even get to see my doctor who had me returning today because he had changed my prescription for my eye care at last visit and this was supposed to be a test to see if change was positive or negative.
I had eye surgery that I prepaid for. I continued to get bills so I assumed there were additional charges for the surgery. I ended up overpaying over $1000.00. I had to call numerous times and have the account audited. I never once received an apology for the mix up or inconvenience. Also, when you schedule an appointment, expect to leave at least 2 hours later. My time is way more important than that.
