Shout out to Pre-Op nurse, Marie----My husband is having surgery here this morning. We were extremely impressed with Marie, his Pre-Op nurse, who did a wonderful job preparing my husband for surgery. She went above and beyond explaining everything she was doing. It is obvious she loves her job helping patients feel so at ease and making sure all questions are answered.Gulfcoast Medical Center is incredibly lucky to have such an outstanding employee!

Only reason I didn't give a 5 star review was because of the recovery room nurse Renee. This can't be the first complaint on this Nurse. My daughter had neck surgery and everyone was amazing , professional and sincere. Everyone but Renee . When she was in recovery we were told to go pick up her prescription at pharmacy. Earlier that morning we had dropped a refill off , as my daughter works for Lee Health and that's where she fills prescriptions. So we picked up prescription. Fast forward to recovery room. Top notch. I have never seen such efficiency at a hospital and I have been to many. I wish I could give 10 stars! Came to see my cousin a few months ago in icu and I could not get over the superb bed side manor. These doctors and nurses care! and unfortunately this is hard to come by these days. I am here today again with my fiancé (he has severe lower abdomen pain) we came to the ER and NO WAIT! AND we have not even been here an hour and hes currently having his CT scan done. This is unheard of! And to top it off the staff makes you feel right at home and I feel we are in good hands. Thank you Gulf Coast Hospital. NO I DO NOT WORK HERE.
