Very friendly and thorough exam. My eyesight correction is complicated due to bilateral cataract surgery and surgery for a retinal detachment. Not only was ab etter prescription found but it was discovered I had new onset steroid induced glaucoma.
I went to Florida Optical to be fitted for Rigid Gas Permeable contact lens. I previously have had Lasik and cataract surgery on both eyes, thus knew I would be very difficult to fit. I had previously been told by another eye doctor that I would be too difficult to fit and he would not even attempt to do it....said to wear soft lens. Dan Acosta, Florida Optical, worked with me for 3-1/2 months to get it perfect. He was extremely patient, explained everything he did along the way, and was always encouraging. I've got to go with a 5 even though he didn't really do anything. But...he suggested I get my cataracts fixed before anything else and the gave me a complimentary cataract exam and suggested his best recommendation. I will certainly return to him when cataracts are removed, thanks doc!
