Very friendly and thorough exam. My eyesight correction is complicated due to bilateral cataract surgery and surgery for a retinal detachment. Not only was ab etter prescription found but it was discovered I had new onset steroid induced glaucoma.

I went to Florida Optical to be fitted for Rigid Gas Permeable contact lens. I previously have had Lasik and cataract surgery on both eyes, thus knew I would be very difficult to fit. I had previously been told by another eye doctor that I would be too difficult to fit and he would not even attempt to do it....said to wear soft lens. Dan Acosta, Florida Optical, worked with me for 3-1/2 months to get it perfect. He was extremely patient, explained everything he did along the way, and was always encouraging. I love my new RGP lens, and am so appreciative for the time and effort Dan put forth to make this happen. I would not hesitate to recommend him highly. As an after note: on 2 separate occasions while I was there, there were 2 different people that walked in with a minor problem, and he fixed their frames while they waited, and told them no charge. Who in the world does that anymore in today's times?? This is a good guy!

I've got to go with a 5 even though he didn't really do anything. But...he suggested I get my cataracts fixed before anything else and the gave me a complimentary cataract exam and suggested his best recommendation. I will certainly return to him when cataracts are removed, thanks doc!
