By far our favorite vet we've encountered as dogs. Dr. Gillaspie was so nice, patient and caring towards our pitbull. Additionally, Dawn, the technician, was SO awesome! I explained I wasn't sure the medicine my dog is on for allergies was working and she gave me so much information about alternative treatments/medications that no other doctor has mentioned before. following the surgery, the team called to check up and I explained her drainage tube's cap kept coming off. I asked to come grab a new cap & they were more than happy for me to stop by. 20 minutes later someone called me back to let me know the doctor would like to do a quick check up (free of charge) to ensure the surgery site looked good. The next morning I brought my dog in and the doctor greeted us at the front door and took us immediately back! This is honestly the first time I've felt like someone really cared and wasn't out for a buck with our dog, so I highly recommend!! Thank you, Dr. Gillaspie and Dawn for such a great experience!
Our dog was bit by larger dog and had a hole in her nose. They did great job stitching her up. Great caring people working there that are professional and caring. Highly recommend!!
My dogs (past and present) have been patients of STAH for many years. They took wonderful care of my two dogs from about the age of 3 & 5 when I moved here, and through their senior years before they passed as well as a new rescue that I've had for the past 2 years. During all of that time, I found them to be very caring and compassionate. Dr. DeMonarco is my favorite vet, and she provides us with lots of information for various treatment options and she patiently answers all of our questions. Also, I cannot say enough about my experience boarding my dogs with STAH. At my request, they allowed my senior animals to stay in quiet areas due to health issues and they don't seem to mind my current dog's very LOUD and annoying barking :). The only complaint I have about boarding is the time it takes to check them in and out and also that they require a $40 fecal check every 3 months which drives up the cost of boarding for those who board or use them for daycare fairly often. Pet daycares in the area that I have used do not charge for this. I'm not sure how STAH fees compare to other vets since I haven't used any in this area, but they are not cheap. Annual checkups have cost me about $150-$200 per dog, depending on what immunizations they need. Personally, I feel the care my pets receive here is well worth the expense.
