I first went to Flo at Yellow Strawberry about 17 years ago, when they were located on Las Olas. My hair is dark brown but I like to be blonde. A different stylist had turned it orange, so in a panic, I got a box of brown dye to cover it up temporarily. The dye left it a sewery greenish brown. I didn't know if there was any hope to be blonde again. Flo performed her magic and gave me the most beautiful blonde highlighted hair that was flowing and healthy and absolutely perfect. No idea how she did it. I never went out in public without someone complimenting my hair. I continued to go to Flo until I got pregnant and took a break. By the time I had my little one, Flo and her husband had retired. Panicking once again, I hopped from stylist to stylist and each one turned my hair more orange than the next. I looked like a jack o lantern. I finally found a stylist that got my hair to the platinum blonde I loved so much! The problem? 3rd time I saw him, he fried off 50% of my hair at the root! He piled my hair on top of my head and forgot about me under the dryer. I gave myself 15 minutes to cry and decided to give my hair time to rest before I tried to fix it. Then, 18 months later (with 6 inch roots, trying to hide my damaged mohawk with a side part), I found out that Flo had come out of retirement and opened a salon in LBTS. The very same day I walked in practically crying. Flo evaluated the damage and set an appointment to solve all my hair problems. She got my dark rooted, damaged hair to the perfect, healthy platinum blonde!!!! She cut and styled it so that the "mohawk" from the previous fry-job was blended in and natural looking. That was 5 years ago. I've seen Flo every 6 weeks ever since that day and my hair is so healthy, and the most beautiful, perfect platinum blonde I could imagine. I have never had so much trust in a professional as I do with her. I'd give Yellow Strawberry a billion stars if I could.

Jesse, FLO, and Denise are always amazing. I can’t thank them enough for always getting me in, and taking care of all my hair needs. When I moved from NYC, I was worried I wouldn’t find a new stylist, who could cut curl hair. Jesse does his Gypsy technique, and my curls always look amazing! Flo is brilliant! I never tell her what I want done and I'm always thrilled with my haircut. And I get numerous compliments. My mother loved the style so much she immediately got an appointment for herself Well worth the 2 hour drive.
