South County Mental Health Center

I was there for 4 days. I won’t lie, the place and the food are horrible, but the staff is great. They really care even though they have no structure and the conditions are horrible as there is a lot of patients there who really need help. If your loved one ends at South County they might not love the place, but at least they will be treated well by the entire staff (front desk/assistants, doctor, nurses and social workers), I am thankful for each one of them. Another positive point is that I saw the doctor every single day, no matter how crowded or chaotic the day was.

My son has been seen at South County Mental Health for over four years. We have had nothing but positive experiences. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The doctor truly cares. All of my questions are answered when I asked. We have no problem scheduling appointments.

I was baker acted yesterday and released the same day. Was only there for only a few hours. The staff was kind and made my stay there as comfortable as possible. It’s clean, they served me pasta and an apple for lunch, and made sure I got my anticonvulsant medication.
