“I am out of town. I was looking for someone to do a blood draw for my mother, in her home, first thing in the morning a few days prior to an appointment with her PCP. Especially since she is in isolation due to THE COVID pandemic, she does not want to go to a public place and sit in a waiting room to get her blood sample drawn. “I am writing to offer my feedback on our experience with Nicole as my mom’s physical therapist. First, Nicole always demonstrated a caring, positive, encouraging attitude. She was a joy to work with and pushed my mother to do what she knew she was capable of. When Nicole first met my mother in April, she was mainly confined to her bed suffering from severe upper right leg pain. She worked with my mother at each session to build equal strength in her legs so she could regain some independence (make meals, walk comfortably to and from the bathroom, get in and out of both her bed and the couch, and most importantly climb the stairs at our home). She was easy to schedule with and would work to accommodate around my mother’s numerous chemotherapy and doctor’s appointments.If there was a day that chemo was difficult for my mom, she was able to reschedule and always provided understanding. Next, she would also provide me with links to purchase items that would be helpful for my mother to use with her and on her own to continue facilitating improvement and mobility. She also was full of education about things and would normalize my mother’s experiences with similarities between other clients and this made my mother feel not so alone in her own struggles. She recommended compression socks when she was experiencing swelling in her feet and this helped her immediately. We valued her advice. She was supportive when my mom was crying from feeling overwhelmed with cancer treatment. Nicole was a wonderful advocate, supporter, and human being.She told my mom what a joy she was to work with. I will be forever grateful for Nicole’s impact on my mother’s life and mine. Thank you so much and we wish Nicole the best in her career as any patient who gets her is lucky!“
