The aesthetic specialist was VERY real with me about the level of pain I would feel from the tattoo removal laser. Honestly being mentally prepared for it in that way helped me tolerate the procedure better. I don't like surprises and I don't like things to be sugar coated. As someone in healthcare, naturally I am a total whimp when it comes to myself so I appreciate her honest opinion. I almost chickened out and waited for my husband to be available to come with me, but with the lidocaine injections to help numb the surface in order to alleviate some of the pain, my husband coming wasn't necessary.
