The salon advertises walk ins accepted but every time I go, they are always too busy to accommodate a walk in. They recommend calling in advance. So, I called in for a same day appointment and there was no slot available. You must make an appointment for days out in order to get a manicure. I found another salon who takes walk in customers.I think VIP Nails wants to be a high-end salon that accepts reservations only. They are not high-end and the manicures are not that good. Ive been getting my nails and toes done religiously for more then 15 years. I’ve been to every nail salon in DeLand and VIP nails has by far given me the best experience. They do an amazing job, my nails never chip or break and they always have a smile to share. They pride themselves on their customer service and it shows. Not to long ago I was getting my nails done and there was a very negative unhappy customer. They remained kind and patient and respected her through the entire situation. Needed to find a new nail salon closer to home so I gave VIP Nails a try yesterday based on Yelp reviews (thanks all you other users:)). Wow, I'm so glad I tried them out. Wonderful pedicure experience! My technician was Tom and he was great. The salon is super clean. The plastic liner in the foot bath is changed between each client. There are 8 regular size pedicure chairs and a smaller one for a youngster. The chairs are good for any size person and are very comfy. In fact the pedicure chairs look brand new. I went for the mid priced pedicure package, cost $35.00, which included paraffin treatment. Also had my brows done, cost $10.00, in a nice separate room used for waxing procedures. Atmosphere is really nice and relaxing. All employees were nice and friendly. They do take appointments as well as walk-ins. I found my new salon and will be going back!
