“This has been a godsend! After mysteriously hurting my lower back earlier this year, I nursed it along until it got to the point that picking things up off the floor was a challenge. The more I sat, the more it hurt, and when trying to stand and walk, I only wanted to sit down. When I walked, I could hear and feel the 'crunching' in my lower back. Sleeping became an issue. My story: While I've had many massages in the past, I knew this was past the massage phase, although it might provide temporary relief. Then I considered Chiropractic. I have a love/hate relationship with trust issues. The good ones are amazing, and the not-so-good ones keep dangling the 'come back' carrot cuz nothing gets better. I'd been to a Sports Medicine Orthopedic for a near-frozen shoulder and a hip issue that I had for years. Both were treated with "physical therapy" - range of motion exercises and strength training. While the team was very professional and both areas recovered, overall, there was nothing to write home about... til now. I've been a nurse in this area for 30 years. I've seen what physical therapists do, or so I thought. I saw an ad for Thomas Physical Therapy and thought, why not? I had a coming-up trip with a lot of walking, and I needed to find a way out of this issue. I met with Dr. Marina on 7/23/24, who took the time to listen, thoroughly evaluate, and then start office treatment with realistic 'homework' recommendations. I was amazed and impressed with her knowledge and clinical and communication skills. This was NOT the standard/average physical therapy that I expected, nor had I witnessed over the years. She was very hands-on with helping the spine to realign, the pelvis and hip to reconnect, and Deep tissue massage / myofascial release to help loosen and release the adhesions (bones, ligaments, and tendons can't work if they are tied in a knot). Dry Needling and electro-stim for intramuscular stimulation; Stretching to help the tight area loosen and restore balance. It's been 6 weeks. I can walk without pain, and the 'crunching' is gone. I can pick something up off the floor without too much issue. I can manage steps again. I have learned so much, and I'm so impressed. This is NOT your 'average' PT session. The staff is amazing! I highly recommend them!“
“Just finish 6 weeks of therapy there for rotator cuff injury......They are excellent at finding what works for you both what applies to your injury and your schedule.........THANK YOU VERY MUCH“
“The best part is my therapist Lori B. She is so knowledgeable, kind and knows how to push you with. The entire staff will go out of their way to help you if there's anything they can do. The facility is easy to access (Important When you need PT).“
“Dr Jacob Barr did an initial evaluation on my first visit and i felt it was spot on and then the work began. And now have gone from 21 score to 34 after the initial series of therapy. My daughter, who has been concerned about my mobility, and hadn’t seen me for months, was very happy with my progress when she saw me last month.I feel this is a great rehab center and has great people working there“
“Best place to fix your physical problems. People are really knowledgeable. They know what they're doing. They will guide you in the right direction. In most cases they are better than doctors if you know what I'm talking about.“
“Sepsis trashed my body and mine. I couldn't walk in a straight line had no strength and had massive vertigo. Dr B, Ken and "Mace" worked with me for 7weeks doing various exercises and drills to improve my mobility and the fact they actually cared about me the person and I wasn't a dollar sign. I still have a little ways to go but they gave me all the building blocks to get there!! They made my day and can make yours Good people!!
Thanks again!!“
“Dr. Megan Kearney is the best! She is so knowledgeable of the human body. Her enthusiasm for her patients is infectious. She makes the therapy sessions fun.“
