“If you actually read the review below mine - you'd see it's a woman who doesn't care about her kid if she's going to leave him in a place and then send a van to pick him up. I won't say what it sounds like but I'm sure others reading this catches my drift. They no longer operate at this location and are now in the Berry Town Center across from Citrus Ridge K-8. They also no longer offer after school care probably because parents like the one below me will leave their kid there until closing so the parents can go out to dinner and do laser tag. With that being said, Sensei Butch doesn't like parents to stay in their cars or drop their kids off and do whatever...I mean....wouldn't you want to see how your kid is doing in their class?? My son has been coming to this Dojo for 2 years. He has learned a great deal of perseverance, honesty, and pride. Sensei Butch is tough on the kids in the intermediate and advanced classes - but it's for good cause. He puts a reasonable amount of pressure on the kids so they can perform their best under that pressure. Before every belt test, the kids need to give a paper to their teachers, parents/caregivers to rate the child in their performance at home and at school. If their rating is too low OR they don't return the paper, they cannot test for their next belt. If it's borderline...he will allow them to test but puts them on a conditional period of time for a month. At that time, they are given another paper to give to their teachers and caregivers to see if there's any improvement. If there is, the conditional status is removed. If there isn't, the student is demoted to their previous belt. Once again - he's tough and he's not for everyone. But he's also very loving with the kids. At the end of every class, with a warm smile, he goes "show me some love!" and gives high fives, hair nuzzles, and brief pep talks to all the kids.“
