lotsa ups and downs. recent up was encouraging, then crashed. dr bedard excellent [A], but supporting staff an abject failure [F]. lazy or incompetent? was hanging in for sake of retaining bedard, but can't take it anymore. part is the status of healthcare staff across the board. but looking for new practice. there must be some good ones out there.
I have been a patient of Optum Nutley, New Jersey, for the past 12-13 years, traveled to Florida, and expected the same kind of treatment. The Optum office here in Coral Springs has the worst staff, and even the corporate office, I waited for 41 minutes to book an appointment, and the young lady hung up on me; I called the office, who said that she sent an email and someone would call me back but that never happened, no more Optum for me
I've been going to this office for over 20 plus years seeing Dr Penate and Dr Gomez and other doctors on staff this review does not reflect on them, I think they're excellent doctors and wish I could still continue to see them unfortunately the company Optum which manages the office no longer takes my insurance and I understand that DR. offices and companies drop insurance and you move on to another doctor or you could decide to pay out of pocket/cash, I requested that I will pay out of pocket/cash to see my doctor buy they tell me that since they no longer take my insurance, therefore they cannot take me as a cash customer but if I had no insurance at all then they could take me as a cash customer which is confusing to me, it sounds like they have some kind of Vendetta against the insurance company that they dropped after 20 plus years they just kicked a long time patient to the curb because they no longer need them. the only sad part is I personally didn't get to say goodbye to Dr Penate and Dr Gomez who after 20+ years i had more than just a patient doctor relationship. its sad how big corp. treats people today.
