I love going to Green Door Salon! My favorite hair stylist in the world has a loft at this location. Phillip has been styling my hair since the day we moved to the Tampa Bay area. I followed him here from 2 other locations just because he's my hair guy. He's not only great with hair, but he just has a wonderful warm heart. We talk the entire time because he is such a great conversationalist. Never a dull moment with Phillip. He has seen my ups and downs over the years. He was there for me when I started losing my hair during chemotherapy. I just couldn't stand seeing my long strands clogging up the shower drain anymore. He got me in right away and gave me a nice little pixie cut. He refused to shave it all off. He said the pixie style would be more manageable for me, and he was right. He was also the person to tell me that I wouldn't lose all of my hair. Again, he was totally right. I only lost about 60% of it, but he got me back on track to hair recovery. He gave me color when I needed it. He did everything to make me feel and look better (even through the awkward growth stages). Hey, I had been wanting to get rid of the bangs that covered my forehead for years. This was how we did it. Not the way I would have wanted to do it but it worked. My hair has grown back and now appears to be easier to style. Did chemo change that? I have no idea. But, I can say Phillip was a big factor in helping me through that whole ordeal. I can never thank him enough. I wouldn't go to anyone else, and I'm so happy that he moved to this salon. It's a great space for him. So, this salon is not owned by any of the stylists at this facility. The hair stylists own their own businesses and rent from the property manager. There are about 7 hair stylists in that building. They each have their own room which is super safe during the pandemic. They space out their appointments and disinfect between customers. You must wear a mask and text them from you car when you arrive. I felt very comfortable getting my hair done this past week, and totally recommend this salon.
