I am originally from South Africa. I opened my first salon at 21 years of age and operated it for successfully for 15 years, earning me business women of the year for the last three of those years! Shorty after that, an opportunity presented itself, so I decided to move to the states and make a name for myself here. Of course as fate would have it, the state of Florida did not recognize any of my credentials. I had to start from scratch again. I attended a Florida approved school, called, The Total Hair Academy in which I graduated with top honors. I then worked at one of the local shops Hair Market, and actually ended up managing the place with 15 stylists for approximately 6 years.
