First time at Nelson’s and to be honest I was a little nervous due to bad experiences with previous barbers. I am thankful to say that my fears were unwarranted! Nelson gave me one of the best haircuts and beard trims I have had and while he was teaching a new barber at the time showed how knowledgeable and skilled he really is. I will definitely be back.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND the amazing 45-minute hot towel shave experience with this master. Turns out Nelson was the trainer at Las Vegas' THE ART OF SHAVING in The Mandalay Bay resort, and it shows in his perfect attention to detail. Private one-chair quiet environment (Sinatra playing in the background), no superfluous conversation, 'just-right' temperature of the towels, pre-shave skin treatment, small stroke razoring both with and against the grain, post-shave head and scalp massage. Baby smooth skin is the happy result. TREAT YOURSELF!!
Seriously, wow! I helped my husband schedule a haircut as it had been many months since his last one. One of the unfortunate things that happen when you move is that you lose your favorite person who cut your hair just the way you want it. So, you stall and stall and you keep waiting until you can't wait anymore. My husband was beyond elated with how Nelson cut his hair. He said that even though his previous barber was really great, Nelson was absolutely incredible. "This is like THE best haircut I have had in a very long time," he remarked, and my husband is the pickiest person I know when it comes to cutting hair.
