Getting high impact windows and doors is no longer a matter of hurricane protection but of noise reduction as more and more stretches of the intracoastal become no wake zones. Boats that used to whizz by now put-put along with their bass stereos (also a new phenomena) cranked all the way up and our peaceful waterways now sound more like South Beach on a Saturday night... So I had CitiQuiet do my unit with their top of the line sound reducing, high impact glass and its heavenly! Not only am I protected during a hurricane (buh bye shutters) but peace has been restored to my dwelling.
