“First, some demographics. I'm 68 and white. I'm not into new things right off the bat. I know what works for me and I stick with it. I was next door to Tuto's, giving blood. I need a haircut, so as I walk out of Oneblood, I decide to go into Tuto's and give them a try. My regular barber is moving back to Illinois so I'm looking for a new barber. I'm a walk-in, so next barber up is a guy named Jose. I tell him how I like my hair and off we go. His technique is totally different from what I'm used to. When he's done and I take a look at the finished product, I'm quite surprised. It looks nothing like I expected. But as I look at it, I see that the style may be different from what I'm used to, but the technique and overall look is very well done.<br><br>Normally, when I get home, my wife will comment "I see you got your hair cut." or something like that. This time when I walk in, she says "That's a great looking haircut!" As a matter of fact, everyone that I know that saw me said about the same thing: Great looking haircut. After having it a few days, I agree. Jose did a great job.<br><br>Now, here's my only knock against Jose. While he was cutting my hair, he never spoke to me once. But how could he? He was having a very animated conversation with another barber. In Spanish. Although I'm trying to learn Spanish, I'm not there yet, so I have no idea what they were talking about.<br><br>Bottomline: I'll be back. I'm there for the haircut and the haircut was great.“
