Just a heads-up: if you’re planning to use the amenities, they’re located at a different (but walkable) location. However, the shuttle is only available to overnight guests, which was a bit of a letdown. Aside from that small hiccup, we had a wonderful afternoon and would definitely return.“

We've been coming here for the last nine years for my husband's annual conference, and it always tugs at my heart to drive up and see the amazing display of lights and festive decor. As soon as we walk through the entrance, we're greeted with a gorgeous gingerbread castle display, and the scents of the season. The entire property has a cozy feel to it and every employee gives us a warm and sincere welcome, so it feels like we're home. We've enjoyed the Lobby Bar and most of the restaurants (Coquina, Coast, Tidewater Grill and Salt, to name a few) over the years and of course, occasional room service when we're feeling like just enjoying the comforts of our room. This year we are staying in one of the coveted ocean view rooms, and watching the morning sunrise from our balcony is the ultimate treat. While we don't have small children, this time of year is an exciting opportunity for special events for children and families to spend quality time. A weekly and daily activity guide is provided at check-in, and it's worth viewing for anyone, as they have biking and nature walks for adults, too. I've found that the guests here actually manage their children better than The Breakers, (which is basically an extremely costly and massive bounce-house doused in Lily Pulitzer). For us, we enjoy sitting in the Lobby Bar overlooking the enormous Christmas tree set in the courtyard facing the ocean and enjoying sushi and a charcuterie board with our drinks. The area can be very noisy, but the atmosphere is like one big holiday party, with a variety of comfortable seating areas, live acoustic music and a fireplace in an adjacent connecting room. Julie, our favorite bartender, is here at least one of the nights during our stay, and it's always wonderful to see her smiling face. We also enjoy shopping and noshing in the quaint downtown area, which is less than six miles away. It is worth noting that the downtown area is very dog-friendly, as is The Ritz. We've stayed here at least twice with our pups, which makes the visit even more special. I can't praise this beautiful property and their employees enough. It really feels like home. P.S.- The property has undergone extensive restoration within the past year, and I couldn't be happier with the results. We'll be back!“
