They were great !! Everyone from the check in staff, to assistants, associates & Optometrists. They were all kind, courteous & so professional. They knew from my 1st visit that I had severe cataracts & would need eye surgery. At 1st I was scared when they told me that they needed to have a surgeon replace both eye lenses. But after explaining everything, step by step, I felt at ease & was so thankful I found these wonderful people right up the Rd. Honestly, I would travel however far I needed to go !! Trust me !! Delaware Vision Academy is the best place to go for a thorough eye exam and they have an excellent eyeglass selection if needed. There is something for people of all ages and they are catering even more to the kiddos these days. Check out these kitty cat glasses. Lots of young and little man selections as well. We could write a long positive review about their vision therapy program as well. It’s best to check it out yourself if you think vision challenges are not just about vision correction.

I first want to say that I absolutely love Dr. Blackburn! He's been such a godsend blessing to me since my 2nd concussion and ocular dysfunction in 2020. He's patient, kind, compassionate, and a true gem in his field in particular for traumatic brain injury patients. He's seen me through Lyme and it's impact on my brain and eyes and now also with my issues of chronic Epstein-Barr virus and how it affects my ocular therapy progress. One thing I would like to suggest is since the practice has a growing number of TBI/concussion patients that the practice consider creating a separate waiting area in the back, perhaps in the ocular therapy room,... read full review
