I needed contacts and they were able to schedule me a appointment same day. The lady at the desk was both friendly and competent. The optometrist makes you feel comfortable while doing the eye test.

I went into the optical department yesterday to make an appointment for today. The receptionist told me I could use either a AAA or military discount for 10% off the exam, which the doctor would put in once the exam was over. I was excited about that. I went today for my appointment and was told the discount was only for "materials." I was also told the doctor is an independent doctor and doesn't put in discounts. I was beyond disappointed. As far as the contact lens exam, I was told it would take about 15 minutes. Well, I was done in about 12 minutes, my partner timed it. The appointment was extremely rushed. I had to ask the doctor to show me both prescriptions through the machine since my prescription had changed. I feel she should have offered me to see the difference before simply handing me the new contact lenses. She was straight and to the point, no personality whatsoever. While I was packing my purse, she had already opened the door and was ready for the next client. I'll never go there again for another contact lens exam. For $140 and having been given misinformation, at least make me feel like my business was appreciated.

I went there for glasses prescription, the doc took only 5 min to check and give me a yellow sheet as prescription. It look more like a receipt than prescription. I asked, she said that's a prescription. So I took it to Costco optical, they won't take it, it missing the doc signature, it even doesn't have my full name, just initial. The guy in Costco is kind enough to give me a fax number and said just let the doctor to fax the prescription to them and they will make sure it's ok. So I called back the JCPenney Optical, the girl answered the call is very rude and all she said is no, they only provide the yellow sheet, and I can only pick it up. When I asked her to fax it to Costco, she said no, you have to come in person to pick up the yellow sheet which I know it won't work already.
