The second visit came when I decided to have a tree cut down with both that and a much older stump removed and ground. “We had a 60' tree fall in our yard. The problem was that the tree was multi-trunked and the rot that made one fall might be in the others...I called Twin Oaks and Larry, the owner, said he would come out. He did and he called next day confirming our suspicions. (My husband has a forestry degree and arborist experience. But this job required special equipment and a team.) Larry said that the remainder could fall anytime. And if it did, it would take our shed and fence, and our neighbors' fences. It could also hit our deck and pergola.Larry came out within 2 day s with his guys. They were here at 8a.m. as promised. Larry was first concerned with the safety of the crew and brought a crane back so no one worked IN the tree; it was not solid. Four hours later, the tree was down safely and the risk was mitigated.Twin Oaks did a terrific job from start to finish. “Tree work is expensive. It's hard to justify spending the money to keep a tree trimmed and safe. I hate spending money. So let tell you when I got home from work today and saw the job Popular did on my 100ft oak that grows directly over my home I really felt like I got my money's worth. “I have been a customer of the Davey Tree Expert Company since they acquired my old tree company Kerns Brothers Tree Service ca. 2016. Davey is a company has done a high-quality work in every single contract. Their prices are higher than most smaller companies in northern Delaware. However, the high quality of the work is well worth it considering in this business low-quality work can result in demise of living organisms. In my experience, I have had one actual case 4-5 years ago where a pruning job on a highly valuable dwarf ornamental cherry tree by a non-descript contractor resulted in two simultaneous separate infections that started killing the tree. In had to be called Davey with expert diagnosis and expert treatment program, and the tree recovered quickly and still thrives to this day. Davey is a highly customer-focused company. Their two estimators that I have dealt with, both with arborist certification, have been promptly responding for requests to come by to look at needs or problems with my trees or shrubbery with immediately submitting treatment proposals. Those proposals have been guaranteed against failure. Mike H. , who is the current representative, always takes all the time needed to explain things in great detail regarding plant ailments and necessary treatments. He has, on more than one occasion, replaced a new implantation that did not thrive as his guarantee to the customer. Davey also has a research lab in the mid-West whose findings are applied to work on the ground here in Delaware. I have been working exclusively with Davey in the last five years for the above reasons despite the higher prices up front, which seem to guarantee success later in all cases.Guray TosunWilmington, DE“
