Quality of patient care has drastically decreased since joining Christina Care. It’s borderline unsafe the negligence that is happening and being blamed on “the system” they use. The doctors are not paying enough attention to what is happening around them.
I have been going to Dr. Kim since I turned 18 and was no longer able to see my pediatrician. I absolutely adore her and have for many years. I also really like Coty and Lindsey, who I don't actually think is there anymore. After dr Kim decided to leave the practice, however, QFP sent a letter with absolutely zero notice that they would no longer be able to see me as a patient (or my mother or sister). No option to switch to another provider at the practice, no assistance with transitioning, and an expiration date on the amount of time they give you to transfer medical records, meaning I have to find a new doctor ASAP or else I lose all of that. What an absolutely disgraceful way to treat patients who have been trusting the practice for years. I hope they eventually learn that dismissing half of your patient base (DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC) is not a good move, but I'm sure karma will not do it's job and they will continue to operate in this manner. Just absolutely shameful.
A lack of quality from "Quality" Family Physicians. Very disappointing. I had been a patient with the practice for over 5 years, until they dropped the majority of their patients with barely 2 weeks notice (during a pandemic, no less). Unfortunately, two of the doctors left the practice so letting patients go in and of itself is regrettable but understandable. However since then, even though we are still well within the promised 2 week grace period, my family has been unable to get a return call when inquiring about medication continuity while we search for a new provider. The reality of it is that finding a new PCP is difficult during the best of times, and with COVID still in full swing, it's even harder. Ironically, QFP themselves stated in the patient dismissal email that there is a "shortage of primary care physicians" in Delaware, which makes this termination of care with little notice that much more discouraging. On a positive note, my family will no longer be subjected to the front desk staff, whose behavior varied from frigid and dismissive to downright rude and condescending. As a former admin & service industry professional myself, I like to think I'm more than fair to folks having a bad day, but the two women I usually spoke with were so consistently rude that I'm no longer inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. Additionally, perhaps now we can find a practice where we can actually see the doctor, as opposed to a PA or Nurse Practitioner (both of whom were honestly great, but we were literally refused consultation by the doctor herself when requested). All that said, I would be remiss not to mention that Dr. Kim, who is no longer with QFP, was hands down the best doctor I've ever had. I wish her the best of luck, and her departure leaves very little in the way of redeeming qualities at "Quality" Family Physicians.
