My daughter danced here today with her dance ensemble. It was a wonderful change of scenery and a very beautiful facility filled with so much history. Today was Day 5 of the Dancing in the DMV. This institute also shares their lovely space as a daycare/summer camp for the neighborhood children. The institute has been home of some of DC's elite dancers who gone on to train at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. The staff were welcoming and the faculty was very clean. Restrooms fully stocked and smelling fresh because that's so important. There are a set of elevators if someone is unable to take the stairs. Beautiful inside. My Grandson participated in the virtual Theater Workshop on October 3rd, 2020, and he had so much fun. The ladies of Teatro La Bolsa did an excellent job of keeping the students engaged while they provided education in language, culture, dance and geography. Thank you.
The Dance institute of Washington produces well rounded dancers mentally and physically. They are not just a dance school, but a school that cares about your childs mental state of mind and physical well being. This school prepares your child for the ups and downs of the real world of dance. There is no sugar coating here. They really prepare each student to be respectful and to treat others the way they want to be treated. This is an amazing dance family, not just a school but a home to be safe in.
