We could not be more unhappy with the customer service we received from Merrill. We had to refile paperwork over and over due to incorrect, ambiguous and contradictory information received from various Merrill employees. A relatively simple procedure that should have taken maybe 4 days stretched into 4 long, frustrating, aggravating weeks. A one-star rating is one star more than they deserved.

I am retired and on a fixed income. Josh Fredericks invested my savings in ETFs and mutual funds that were high risk and expensive. When I asked him about this, he became insulting, condescending and rude. He invested $100K in two Blackstone private credit investments and didn't inform me that I would be unable to take redemptions at will. The funds are losing money and I can't get my money out. I feel that he is a bully and treats women poorly. I eventually transferred to another financial advisor at another firm because he I couldn't work with him. I felt that he was looking out more for his own financial best interest, than for mine. Not a fiduciary. I highly advise staying away from him and his team.

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management is a very bad service. Not only did they lose over $150,000 of my retirement, they blame their mistakes on their clients. Specifically, the Farmington Hills Michigan office is poorly run and staffed by fast talking salespeople, not financial advisors. They really have no interest in your success. They simply take their fees and make up excuses as they go along. Avoid this service like Covid !!
