I really want to like Lucy Nails - I live just around the corner, and a lot of the staff is very nice. But my gel nails have chipped (badly) within a week or two every single time. I've now been 6-8 times, and am continually disappointed with the results. (One of the reasons is that they do not paint the tips/edge of your nails, unlike every other gel manicure I've had.) I should say: They do offer a guarantee on gel nails for two weeks, and will redo your nails if they're messed up in that time. That's a great policy. However, going back for a redo is not a great option for two reasons: 1. They are very very slow (a gel manicure takes over an hour), and 2. They are very very busy! Unless you go during off hours (i.e. the middle of a weekday), expect at least three people to be waiting ahead of you. Lastly, Itpricey, and although the price on par with other places around here, it's just not worth the money for the poor quality.
This place is great! I've been to tons of nail salons and this is the best one I've found in the US. Everyone in there was super nice and they did a great quality job on my manicure. It was not rushed at all and it looks beautiful. I also love that they will fix it for free if it chips within two weeks. I'll definitely be coming back.
This is definitely not a fancy place but I brought in a picture and got exactly what I asked for. I am very pleased and will definitely return. (Also, you can leave a tip on your cc)
