Getting a custom sport coat and a custom pair of nice wool trousers here was so fun!! Mr. Field is totally professional but also not the least bit fussy: we thought about a full suit but then decided that I would be more likely to wear separates, decided on separates that could be worn together or separately, and then settled on a handsome dark gray for the pants and super-cool and fun large windowpane on blue for the jacket. After a few fittings (hardly needed for the shoulders of the jacket -- no easy trick) the final product looks and fits wonderfully and I cannot wait to wear them for the first time!! Will is the only true bespoke tailor in DC (meaning his bespoke suits involve him personally measuring you, you selecting the fabric, and him cutting the fabric and hand sewing the entire suit). Having been trained on Savile Row, he is a master of his craft. Whether you commission a full bespoke suit from him, a more affordable MTM option, or simply bring RTW tailored clothing for alterations, Will will deliver a level of quality and craftsmanship one can only obtain in Manhattan or Savile Row. The shop is beautiful and Will is a delightful person to enjoy one's company. Will is the only tailor I trust with my best tailored clothing.
