I made appointment and came in. And they kept telling me to come back. And didn't even service me. SmhI recommendK & w auto repair4802 Rhode Island Ave, Hyattsville, MD 20781They gave me a better price too
Okay, I was really skeptical with this place when I first heard of it. After getting my brakes and rotors replaced, as well as a new wheel bearing replacement, I am a believer. This auto shop is one of the best, most affordable in DC.
Okay, I was really skeptical with this place when I first heard of it. After getting my brakes and rotors replaced, as well as a new wheel bearing replacement, I am a believer. This auto shop is one of the best, most affordable in DC. I contacted this shop through Yelp's messaging system to get a quote on replacing all my brakes and rotors on my 2004 Mazda Miata LS. Other shops were quoting 700-1200. My original dealership was quoting 625. Imran, one of the managers of this car shop, quoted me $300, parts and labor included. I was a bit shocked and intrigued. Imran noted some generic names for the parts. I opted to purchase my own parts to control the quality. He offered to do the labor for $100. So I proceeded with the repair, skepticism in hand. I drove my clanking car to the shop with the parts in the trunk. Once I saw the line up of taxis outside, I gained some more confidence. Imran wasn't in the shop yet, but he told his mechanic Carlos to be on the lookout. He greeted me, took my takes, recorded my information, and I left, with the promise of all the repairs being done later in the day. They kept their promise. I headed to the shop and Carlos politely informed me that my car needs a new wheel bearing in the right rear wheel, brakes and rotors weren't enough. I appreciated his transparency. I checked with Imran to get a quote on the parts and labor. He said he could have all the repairs done in a day for about $210. I got back to the shop the next day, my car all taken care of. Imran even reduced the price further when they realized I didn't need a new hub, just a bearing. And they also give assurances on their work. I pulled out of the lot, tested my brakes real hard, and noticed that the brakes fell flat. Bringing it right back to the shop, Carlos and Jonathan, another mechanic, lifted the car up straight away, and bled the brakes again. He also gave me a walkthrough of my car from the underbody, answering all my questions. Imran and his team clearly know what their doing. They were quick, kept their promises, and repaired my car headache free. To make sure that you get the clearest work done, I recommend you do proper research, bring your own parts when you can, explain what you need done, ask questions, and be informed. Communication is a bit difficult, but if you are patient, the results are worth it. I look forward to getting all my repairs done in the future here. What a surprising find!
