I stopped by here on my lunch break on a Tuesday afternoon for a bad cut. I was seen within 15 minutes of arriving even though the medical professional was already with someone. The place was clean, the woman who helped me was super friendly. This clinic does not do stitches, but she assessed the wound for me anyway and re-bandaged it. Would definitely use this place again (but hopefully won't have to).
I was in DC for a work conference and woke up with a sore throat and fever (likely strep throat given my kids had been diagnosed with it back home). Arrived early at the cvs to register as a walk in. Wait time was 140+ minutes. Wanted to speed things up so paid for a video consult with cvs, and they ultimately directed me back to the store location for a throat culture (despite saying the video visit can address sore throats, that does not appear to be the case). I still had an hour before my appointment time, so sat down to wait for my turn. When I only had 20 minutes left, I was unexpectedly bumped back to a 100+ minute wait so the staff person could go to lunch. At that point, I contacted the help line and was told my concerns about spending a potential 4 hours to get a throat culture would be addressed in 3-5 business days. CVS has lost my business going forward. There is nothing convenient or thoughtful about the service they offer. They should probably staff their sites so that lunch is covered by temporary employees and people don't have to give up their day only to not be serviced. I'll be headed to urgent care when I return home tomorrow, likely after exposing numerous people at the airport and on my flight to strep... Way to go CVS.
Third day in a row trying to see the nurse practitioner...walked in today and she was putting up an out to lunch sign at 2:30... All the reviews I've read about minute clinic have been bad. Yesterday waited two hours never got in. Person who went in right when I got here was in there 48 minutes. Really? Was he setting up a knee replacement? CVS needs to get control over these clinics. Either get better staff, more staff, or change the name to Three Days Clinic!
