This review is primarily for our waiter at the Fire Clay restaurant. After an extremely long day of flights all my co-worker and I wanted, was some good food and a cocktail. Our waiter Julian was fantastic! He gave great suggestions on both food and drinks, he also happily accommodated some unexpected additions to our table and truly made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Always going above and beyond to meet our needs. His incredible service made a pretty crumby day not so bad. The hotel as a whole is good too, but really just wanted to highlight this young man's excellent work.
We were in town for a wedding and this was a recommendation from the bride. The hotel was very close to the wedding reception and other great restaurants as well. The star of the show is the staff. The valet was professional and patient. The front desk staff were personable and accommodating in every way. The rooms are modern and the layout is thoughtful for the size of the room. The rates were reasonable, however parking rates were expensive. Over all a great place to stay with practically a view of the White House lawn.
This is like our 5th time staying here. Always enjoyed. Close enough to everything to enjoy downtown DC. Also right by two of our favorite restaurants, Old Ebitt's and Hamilton's. Staff are very nice. Valet is great. Rooftop restaurant has an awesome view. Always 5 stars.
