Our goal was to create a first floor living space so that we can age in this house. Jason and his team took our vision and made it a reality. The project consisted of renovation of : a living room with vaulted ceiling, skylights and a beautiful staircase that is now the centerpiece of our home; a master bedroom and bath connected to a screened room and front deck; and moved the laundry room to the first floor.

Jason coordinated the project from design through construction. He kept us apprised of the project progress throughout and completed on schedule. Jason and his team were very personable and professional resulting in quality craftsmanship and construction. “Our gravel driveway (well, what was left of it) was an absolute disaster after the rainiest summer ever last year. I had Riley come and price out new gravel, and then for the heck of it I asked him for an asphalt price as well. The asphalt price was way lower than what we were anticipating, so we started talking with Riley & Tom about our project in a more in-depth manner. Together we determined we’d need extensive drainage work in addition to the paving work. Riley and Tom were very determined to solve our drainage issues, and they must’ve stopped by at least 2-3 times to plan and reevaluate the job before work had even begun. The drainage work took two full days of work and then they were able to complete the asphalt after that. We couldn’t be happier with the results!“

This project presented unique challenges as the existing building was built in the mid-1800s and the construction would take place while the center still operated. They would also need to meet rigorous state and local standards for childcare facilities.The Faros team fully understood the task at hand and took great care to make sure at no time did they disrupt the operation and more importantly the children!
