I recently visited for the first time for a program to see the vernal pools and look for frogs and other stuff! We had a really nice afternoon! The grounds were beautiful, there was a lot of water and woods. This nature center is mostly comprised of trails, however they also have a small playground made from cedar. Not only was the drive up, and surrounding area beautiful but the nature center truly has a magical and peaceful feeling to it! (However I imagine when it starts to get “buggy” out it will be one hell of an annoyance with all the swamp and water...lol) Overall great place to go!

The Woodcock Nature Center is truly a local gem. Their mission is education-centered and focused on connecting children and adults back to nature. They offer many programs throughout the year, including holiday wreath festivals, summer camp, winter and spring break enrichment camp, birthday parties, scout programs, trail run, and programs for local schools. Their staff is amazing, always going above and beyond.
