“Jamie goes above and beyond! As new homeowners, we were recommended to him from our realtor and have used him used him for a few small jobs around the house. The reason I am leaving this review though is for helping us with a real emergency last year. We had a sump pump failure around 8pm on a Wednesday night. We honestly didn't know who else to call as our whole basement was flooded. We called Jamie and he come out in no less than 15 minutes. The guy could have been asleep on his couch for all we know, but he didn't even bat an eye. He even brought a new sump pump to install incase we didn't have one. He helped my husband get all the water out of our basement and install the new sump pump. He eased my worries of having to file an insurance claim and my fear that it was worse damage than it was. After all this, I was prepared to pay upwards of $1000 but he charged us a very reasonable price and didn't throw any extra charges in for "emergency services" like some other companies would. We will never use another plumber again and will recommend Jamie and his company to anyone we know. Thanks again Jamie!!!“

“We were looking into replacing our 32-year old central air system with a heat pump system -- looking specifically to take advantage of the Energize CT rebate program and the federal tax rebates currently being offered.
We found Mull Bros. on the list of Energize CT qualified installers and recognized the name through family and friends. When we reached out, Tom chatted with us over the phone about the specifics of our system and then he came over the following week for an evaluation to see what we would need to have done for the heat pump system to replace our current AC and blend with our current natural gas heating. Tom was upfront and honest about what would be best for our needs and all it would involve -- new returns for each of the bedrooms and another for the main living/kitchen/dining area (all one vaulted ceiling). Tom even included a specific Bosch system they usually don't work with because we had mentioned it as we had heard good things from a colleague who had the same system installed last fall. The quote was very competitive and we felt very comfortable with the professional and personable interactions we had during the evaluation process.
Once everything got started, the whole process only took a few days, which is better than I expected because after 12 years in our home, we kept finding that almost everything the previous owners had installed was not done up to code and whoever did the previous installs must have cut every corner imaginable which always led to issues for us updating things...case in point: the old outdoor unit and indoor unit were both on the same breaker instead of two separate ones. After a bit of electrical work to get a separate line and breaker to the outside unit, the AC was up and running...the next day everything was working down to the existing natural gas boiler and the heat pump heat.
The install team was great; Tom & Marybeth took care of the new returns while JR, Carlos, & Kevin worked removing the old system and setting up the new units. Along the way, they all were very knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had during the process. We are very happy with the results and cannot wait to see how much this newer system helps with our energy costs in the long run.“
