I've been to many gyms and had too many trainers over the years. Nothing truly clicked until I got to Fitness Continuum. Physically, most gyms are the same; they're a collection of weights and mats and workout tools. What sets FitCon apart is the people. Not only are they skilled and knowledgeable, but their personalized workouts are fun and challenging and they know how to keep an easily-bored guy who hates to exercise entertained and engaged. I actually look forward to going because it's effective and it feels like I'm going to hang out with my friends. I can't recommend Fitness Continuum highly enough.
I've been looking for a spin class to suit my schedule since I am only free at very specific times. My research brought me to The Fitness Continuum and unique services offered peaked my interest. I decided to do a personal training consult to see if someone there could give me the much needed motivation and guidance to whip my booty back into shape. My session was with Wes. He was very knowledgable, courteous and most importantly upfront. He even invited me to stay for a cycling class. The cycling bike was different from the spin bike I'm used to. It took more effort which I enjoyed. The instructor was very nice in continuously checking on me and reminding me to take things at my own pace. I really enjoyed the class. I'm excited to come back for more cycling classes, perhaps some personal training and will definitely check out the rowing class sometime. I highly recommend The Fitness Continuum.
Overall, I give this facility the highest rating for fitness know-how and a supportive environment. Name your goals and Wes or Rob or the other trainers will get you there. You can drop in for classes, and for years a bunch of us will show up Tues and Wed nights at 8 to have a great circuit training workout. The other guys are a great group of dudes sharing very similar goals. But, don't get the wrong impression, there are also male/female classes. Lastly, for anyone doing the group workout for men on Thursday night, there's a real treat afterwards in the form of liquid nutrition! Whatever it takes to stay moving.
