I took class with Anne earlier today, and as is always the case I left feeling far better than when I started. Her approach seems to work no matter how I feel -- strong or tired, in shape or out of practice. Her classes are different enough to always keep me engaged and focused, with enough continuity that I never feel lost. She'll often say "balancing ease and effort," which is the case with her approach -- I feel both energized and relaxed. Strongly recommend!
This is the real deal. Lovely antiques from all over Europe with a particular focus on 18th and 19th century treasures from France and the Netherlands. This is a local institution and I love browsing here whenever I get the chance to go back to Connecticut for a visit. A bit pricey, but everything they carry are truly heirloom pieces that will last several lifetimes.
My mother and I have been seeing Jampa for over a year now. We were introduced to him by a girlfriend who is one of his regular clients. This is both our first time getting acupuncture done and we still continue to come as a duo. The first appointment is an assessment he does and also reads the palms of your hands. He even asks you to stick your tongue out. If you don't know, he's big into eastern medicine and has so much knowledge. You can def tell he has a passion and continues to share his knowledge by traveling all over for work. The experience was worth it, he focuses on your main concern, and by the end of the appt; for me, I am super relaxed. He has so much info about Chinese medicine and will suggest some things if needed. You can either try it out or pass, it's really up to you. He never pressures you into buying anything if you don't want to. I love that fact that he has a passion for what he does. It's always nice to see him. My husband and I came here with our four year old son and had a great experience. It was such a nice change of pace from the city. The staff were all lovely. We dined in the restaurant, spent time on the grounds, swam and played tennis. My son loved the kids pasta dish, and we all enjoyed our meals. We appreciated the emphasis on local ingredients and making things in house. The winter swim hours for children are minimal, but my son and I are up early, so it worked out okay for us. Would definitely go back.
