I walked in and there was Alex(the hair stylist) who greeted me. He was busy with other clients but told me while my hair was being washed he was going to cut my hair (can't tell you how excited I was). “The manager at my gym told me about this shop. He told me to ask for Lynette, but she was booked that day. So, I made an appointment with Erica. My hair is natural 4c. I just wanted some simple cornrows, no extensions. She was about an hour late, but she did call to let me know. So I stuck around. I'm glad I did. She did a wonderful job. I told her to do whatever she wanted, but i needed it simple, not tight, and with at least a half bang. I was going for surgery and needed something to get me thru a month of rehab. She even washed and blew my hair. It was all included. I tipped her 10 bucks for such a wonderful job. And I plan to be back very soon.

I didn't take photos bc there were clients in almost all the chairs, and I didn't want them in the photos without agreeing. So just including pictures of my hair. Next time, I hope I'll have better luck.

Why not 5 stars? The guy answering the phone spoke so extremely low,I could barely hear a word he was saying. I think he had to repeat every sentence he said to me. When I was finally there waiting, I saw he was a teen, which I guess is why maybe he didn't get how frustrating that is to a patron just trying to make an appointment. Between the TV, the blow dryers, and the talking, I'm not sure the reason he was basically whispering.

Requested style: Cornrows, no extensions. Not tight.

Hair type: 4c natural hair. No problem.
