“I had my roof replaced as well as all of the windows and doors in my 1953 3000 square foot home. I am happy to highly recommend A1 Home Improvement to anyone and everyone. Joe Michaud was my sales rep and did a great job communicating with me and with the team. Lisa the scheduler from the backoffice was also great. I worked with a number of teams on this reno - Marcin and Ewald who are AMAZING - installed all of the doors and windows. They encounterd rotten wood under every window so a job that was supposed to take about 2 days took 4. I was so grateful for their commitment to make everything the best and perfect for me. The trim work is so professional and I know that the 3paned windows will make my home energy efficient. There was a different team (Justin / Michael) that installed the skylights and another team that replaced the roof. They were very professional and with any challenge they encountered - like when they ended up having to put new plywood on a part of my roof and my sunroom became covered in old debris! they came back and cleaned up - very apologetically. I know I have spent quite a bit with the company but I also feel that their pricing was competitive and the work that they did was more than what they thought they were getting into - AND they did not come back for more for every single thing. If I need any other home improvements I will definitely be calling them.“

“I hired Ryan for a new roof on a multi family property in Hartford summer 2021. From beginning to end, he was a calm communicator and professional. He has a crew and the job was completed timely and neatly. Before and after photos were taken and the property lot was cleaned up when the job was finished. “Hired AWS for window replacement. Out of the three companies we considered, they were the most professional. Not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but the only company to provide an in-home demo of the actual windows we were purchasing. With such a big home improvement project, you want to feel confident that you made the right choice. Shortly after signing the paperwork, they sent someone out to measure. Then we waited quite a while for the job to be scheduled. Unfortunately, installation occurred during a weeklong heat wave. Yet the guys rarely complained, and spent four full days installing our windows. If I have any complaints, it's about their after sale customer service. The day our installation wrapped up, I noticed a slash in one of the screens, and was assured they'd order a replacement and have it sent to us. Three months later we still had no screen, so my husband and I started calling. Every call was treated as a brand new sales call and no one seemed to know anything about our replacement screen. Finally, someone came out and made us a new screen onsite. However, he re-screened it too tightly, and the frame warped. More phone calls and more confusion on their part made us feel like we were in the twilight zone. Ultimately, we took the frame to their office and they fixed it there, which was an additional inconvenience. Other than these few snafus, we're happy with the work.“

“John contacted me about replacing my carpet and putting down new laminate. It was a very rush job because I was getting inspected at the end of the week by AKC. I never called him back but he kept on calling which I liked. He told me that they could do it in my time frame and sure enough they did. They also were able to do it within my budget. I am working on having both John and Justin do a bunch of projects for us. The floor makes the house so much better. They helped move some of the furniture out. They even moved my sick golden retriever into the car for me to bring her to the vet. They did such a great job and the house looks like new. Thank you John and Justin. “My understanding is they do many different job types but specialize in siding and roofing. The previous owner of my home had siding put over the old wood shingle and it left a huge gap between the siding and foundation going all the way around. So I had A LOT OF MICE that learned to enter the home by burrowing under the siding. I called Yargueta and they made me custom color matched trim on site that fit better than a glove to seal the gaps going around the house. It makes the siding look a bit cleaner AND they corrected some issues left by the previous installer for me. They showed up as promised, very responsive, and completed the job to my satisfaction. Additionally, I felt that Yony/Tony is a very good man, he was super friendly, a pleasure to talk to, and professional-- he just radiates genuine positive energy all around. Thank you Yargueta!“
