This place is like no place you've ever gone before! I recommend calling ahead for an appointment because the owner who was the first woman who owned a barber shop in Connecticut cut hair fantastically no matter what style you were looking for Nancy who is the owner will make you always look fabulous I must go to does Hidden Gem in Plainville. She is been around as long as I can remember and I will trust no one else when it comes to my hair and you shouldn't either five stars all the way!

Nancy & Dave are great. I started using Family Barber because they make appointments. This is so much more convenient than other barbers where you wait 20-40 minutes. Nancy and Dave do a great job too, they're very thorough. My teen boys go there too.

I have been going to Family Barber Shop since I was 3 years old. Nancy is the best! She is always so kind and not only do I receive the best quality haircut but we always have great conversations and that is what great service is all about!! Makes me want to come back and look forward to my next cut! I would highly recommend Family Barbershop to anyone around the area! At this point I don’t even tell her what I need, she just knows! Beard, warm shave, the whole 9 yards! She is not only my barber, but a good friend! 10/10
