About Dirty Tails
Dirty Tails is a multi-award winning salon that specializes in dog and cat grooming, doggie daycare, and member-only overnight boarding. The skilled groomers provide exceptional care, taking in dogs and cats with open arms, even in emergency situations. They offer self-wash facilities and a pet bakery, and are praised for their gentle and pleasant approach with nervous or matted animals. The salon has been a trusted choice for pet owners for many years, with customers praising the staff's kindness and the excellent care their furry companions receive. Despite a few isolated incidents, the majority of customers continue to have positive experiences at Dirty Tails, making it a popular destination for pet grooming and care.
A few years ago, I rescued a very distrusting, anxious and skiddish street dog, Jeff, who was in desperate need of a grooming and as a Shi-Poo needs it routinely. Jeff was/is a warning-shot nipper when he gets anxious and scared and this team has really worked with us to help ease his experience. It was touch and go but Kayla (his groomer) made sure we didn’t give up. She is phenomenal and patient and VERY talented.
Y’all in these reviews are so fake. There’s NO WAY all of y’all all the sudden got “injured dogs”. Accidents happen, should they have taken accountability for the accident? ABSOLUTELY. But writing fake reviews esp when before this situation they had nothing but GOOD reviews. Like don’t even… it makes you no better. My mom has been taking our dog (Bambi) here for the last 5yrs, they have ALWAYS been sweet and our dog is always well taken care of.
I have been going to Dirty Tails since they we located on Unionville Avenue in Plainville. They were always accommodating and provided excellent service. Somehow I sense a change in providing good customer service. Six to 12 months ago I wanted my Maine Coon shaved but Kristin was not able to help me because she didn’t have another “cat” person (Covid) and two are needed for my large uncooperative cat. This was totally understandable. Yesterday I called and confirmed they had 2 cat people. I only wanted a 5 inch square shaved on his chest because of knots and asked if I could have an appointment as soon as possible. The receptionist stated the next available appointment would be at the end or middle of JULY. She stated she could ask Kristin but didn’t. How could a business refuse to help an animal who is in pain with a procedure that would take 15 minutes — and a long time customer at that.
