John has been cutting my hair [and even my grandchild's hair] for at least 30 years. That should establish a basis for my '5 stars'. i was sad when the rampant greed of his former landlord drove him out of his long-time place and the south end of OG Village, but I have to say I actually like his new place in that little mall north of the railroad. It's perfectly comfortable; his online booking system works well even for someone as allergic to electronics as I. Final nice thing: the parking at his new place is 800% better -super-easy as opposed to the frequent pain in the ass of parking in Old Greenwich's small 'downtown.'

Completely agree with the other 5-star reviewers. I’ve been going to the Haircut Place for many years. I drive about 1/2 hour just because I think they’re worth it. John does a terrific job making me look presentable. He is very talented, reliable and attentive. Plus, I think it is a very reasonable rate. I like his new location. Very quiet and easy parking.

I’ve been exclusively coming to John for haircuts for the past two years now, but he’s been a fixture of this community since I was a little kid (decades ago😁). He’s the nicest guy you’ll ever meet and his work speaks for itself. It’s exceptional. He takes great care with every cut, never rushes or misses a detail, and it shows. Even when it’s been a few months and I’ve grown a lion’s mane he says it’s no problem and by the time I leave I’m always looking cute, feeling cute. Choose him as your barber and you’ll never look back.
