Best place to learn West Coast Swing in CT. Erik Novoa is champion level dancer and amazing instructor. The classroom is clean, large and new dance floor so it is very comfortable to dance. He teaches proper technique and offers beginner group class as well as intermediate group class. For those who are competing, he provide private lessons. There are very good West Coast Swing dancers in the classes and everyone is so friendly to new dancers. They also have dance social after the group class and workshops and guest instructors. Ample free parking is available at the studio so it is very convenient.

I love to dance! Not very good at it, but very avid. I dabbled in different dances over the years so when a friend recommended Erik’s SwingShoes, I decided to give it a try. The first lesson was exciting, the second got a bit more challenging and I wanted to quit after the third one. West Coast Swing (WCS) is neither easy nor intuitive for many beginners, including this one. Not the kind of dance you learn by watching you tube videos to dazzle your friends at the next dance party. However, I didn’t quit and I have Erik, and the wonderful dance community he created with his dance partner Janice, to thank for that. I started taking West Coast Swing lessons with Erik Novoa a little more than 3 years ago. I have had many ballroom and swing dance teachers over the years and Erik is one of my favorite instructors. Erik's teaching style is relaxed and fun while also a bit challenging as well. He teaches to the level and ability of each student and makes you feel at home from the first class. I have made so many friends at the studio and we also enjoy social outings outside of the classroom. I highly recommend giving this amazing dance a try...you will be happy that you did!
