Moved to Ridgefield 3 1/2 yrs ago. The day of our closing his guys were doing a big tree job down the street, I stopped and asked to come down and look at 7 40+ft trees that were risky to hit our new house. He said no problem and gave me a deal since the equipment was already there.(Neighbors said almost 1/2 their local estimate) Then the next month we had him excavate a circle driveway and lay gravel, then the next year we had him install Belgian block all along the new driveway. Last year we had some more tree work and they rebuilt a front entry stone retaining wall and stone staircase and tied into the existing stone walkway. Hired M. Lato Excavating and Treecare twice. Once for asphalt paving and another on drainage work. The crew did an amazing job on both projects (fair price, too). I would highly recommend.Services: Asphalt paving & repair
I first used Lato about 9 years ago to take down a couple of large trees and since then I have used him every other year for something - like excavating for a CCA zoning application, putting in drains, moving boulders and trees and in June 2020 digging up and redirecting my driveway including new asphalt. My experiences have all been good and his team are very proficient. I am certainly not an easy customer since I am always there interfering. If he cant make it on a particular day he will notify you in advance and you do need a little patience sometimes.Services: Road materials recycling
