I went to Adelmann because staff told me he was open to non sedation colonoscopy. I booked appointment, went. When I met with him he told me he would not do that. His reasoning was totally fine but I wish staff would have told me this instead of wasting 2 months of my time. He also told me my prep would be the most horrible torture and I would be cursing to the gods because he wanted to be real with me, which I appreciated but my prep was a breeze and gentle. I ended up going with a different doc, I did a unsedated colonoscopy and I was fine. Every person is different. Every person's pain tolerance is different. Dr. Adelmann is the #1 BEST gastroenterologist! He is one of my heroes as he saved my life and my Dad’s life multiple times. I have been his patient for dozens of years, and I trust Dr. Adelmann with my life 100% with my most sincerest appreciation!

I have been to many doctors, from PCPs, to Pain Management, Spine/neurological specialists as well as gastroenterologists.It is unbelievable how many doctors, just go through routine motions...and then "pass the buck" to another "specialist" without giving you any concrete answer about your maladies.I have been to Dr. Adelmann several times. When I was in the hospital, he took the time to see me.... and my issues weren't entirely in his purview but with his years of experience knew the right and wrong course of action.Recently I had a pain for a month and a half after major surgery. I read for hours online as to what the issue might be. I had my layman's opinion. No doctor...read full review
