My daughter has learned so much and had so much fun since she started training at SDSS in Newtown. Master Schaeffer is absolutely beyond compare as an instructor and mentor. He is kind and fun and the kids all love him, but he also knows when and how to hold them accountable and maintain high standards. They learn so much more than Kung Fu here. They learn self-discipline, respect, kindness, mindfulness, self-control, and confidence. I highly recommend SDSS in Newtown.
This is the best martial art school ever! My all family participates, including my husband and learning Kung-Fu became very important part of our life. Chris is the true teacher and not only talks to kids about the kicks and punches but also about being a good person. I am very grateful to have this place so close to home.
I have spent many years dabbling in the martial arts, but decided to get serious in the last 10 or so. Because I was always drawn to Kung Fu, SDSS of Newtown was the perfect place to do so. I have studied with Master Chris Schafer for years now, and he is an exceptional instructor for adults and kids alike. Always a great, friendly and inviting environment (and a killer workout!), recommended highly! :)
