I would really give this lady no stars , my encounter with emma was the most Awkward and most passive aggressive time I've had ever with a stylist. YES, her work is good, but her attitude and personality are not welcoming after consultation. To start i booked with Emma in october of 2023 for sister Locs. i explained to Emma mornings are better for me due to the fact i was 6 months pregnant and worked 2-10 pm. come install day she gives me a late afternoon start time of 3pm starts my hair , proceeds to wash it because of left over product, because i was dosing off she sent me home after finishing 2 sections of my hair, leaving at 7pm after explaining let me just get something to drink and get up and we can proceed. she insisted i go home and rest and then states i really owe her 45 because she washed my hair but my issue is why didn't she state it was a fee instead of making it seem like you were doing me a favor of washing., as i leave she mentions it in such a shiest way.etc, i return the next day just for her to finish me the in 12 hours - _-, which could have been avoided if she considered her client. During my time getting my hair done Emma acted like it was a problem to take longer than a 5 min break, ( im pregnant) compared me to her coworkers when i used the breakroom that is "available to her clients " told me i was "just as bad as her coworkers" cause i left my food in the microwave to get situated.i loved emmas work so ofcourse i come for the included free retie cause i can ignore ignorance, on this day she was in better spirits but as she takes my hair out of bonnent she askes me have i added any product i say no and she proceeds to say "feels like it to me " as if i needed to lie.(pregnant and taking prenatals ) we proceed with my retie that started at 10 and she showed up at 1047 so she was LATE and didnt really seem to care. fast forward i have my baby in jan so i ended up over due for a retie due to my long 2 week hospital stay and bringing home a new baby , now i have explaind to ms.i luv hair that it was hard to find a consultant for sisterloc in my area and she was the only one within reasonable range. she sends a invoice of 84. now last i booked with her she usually sends downpayment and total when shes done in your head. i questioned weather the 84 was hourly or deposit. there was no issue if the 84 was hourly or downpayment im just a person that likes to makesure i have everything ahead of time . this lady proceeds to tell me id benefit from a trainer that is more in my price range after expliaing theres no consultants in my area what would make her think theres trainersss?? ? she assumed i had a issue with her price when it was nothing of that sort. ms. i luv hair is amazing at her work but be prepared to be triggered your whole appointment because she isnt the nicest and clearly the rudest ! i now had to cut my sisterlocs due to them needing mantinece bad anot NO TRAINER IN MY AREA OR CONSULTANT besides one being hour and a half away. so when going to this stylest dont talk much stay to yourself and get your hair done. cause ms.i luv hair is ms. attitude problem.
Emma is very informative and knows her profession. She is a sisterloc ambassador and has taken care of my locs from my first retie. She is fast and on time with my appointments. Highly recommend!
I got my locs started here. Initially she was quite rude and off putting. She got better the longer I was there but my locs were very large and didn’t stay and I had to get them redone elsewhere. The cost was very high for the end result.Service: Dreadlocks
