“I've known Jeff for over 20 years, first professionally and then socially. I have always found him to be one of the most ethical and honest contractors I have worked with. He goes out of his way to make sure the products suggested and the installation options provide the most value for my budget. This includes a full house window replacement, sliders, and storm doors. He has a lot of "pull" with his manufacturers and that became evident recently when I had fogging of a side-light window panel that was installed a few years ago. I was hopeful it was under warranty (it was), but not expecting Jeff to have the manufacturer come out and replace it. Above and beyond my expectations! I spent time interviewing 4 window companies to replace very old windows in our 1929 beach cottage in Madison Connecticut. Probably the same that most people see advertised. Although I replaced windows in another home, consumers really don’t know much about something they don’t do very often. We all start with trying to get the price, (that’s really dumb because you might get “new” really subpar windows which probably weren’t much better than what you replaced!) this wasn’t the lowest quote and they weren’t the highest quote - but they were absolutely THE BEST. The product is great but it’s all about the installation and this was superior. Even the added detail of trim work they did to the windows was flawless. The Harvey windows from J.C. Tonnetti are excellent and have a sleek look as well. With a 20 year, (and transferable to a new owner) you have super security. But the thing that truly made me feel that this company was the best was the incredible attention to detail, knowledge and experience that EACH worker had. Luke,Gilmo,Matt,Carlos and Mauricio were amazing. They never stopped doing some small detail during the removal installation and cleanup and they did so in the neatest, kindest, and most professional way. This company is OUTSTANDING because the people are outstanding. Honest, dedicated, hardworking, experienced and will fix anything that might come up. Louis provided the estimate and set up theinstall. Howie, Jason, and Nico arrived on time and completed the install in 1 1/2 days. “This was our 3rd project with Bartlett-Brainard. As we committed to this, their sales person measured the space and took notes. Then a week or so later, their carpenter came out to measure again. “Measure twice, cut once” like school shop classes. They gave us an estimated approximate time to have the sliding door unit manufactured and then their schedule. As the time got closer, I reached out to them and them to me. In the last two weeks, communications increased until the day before installation to confirm our availability. The door was delivered early that morning as we were told, then their carpenters arrived to start working. The job took one day, start to finish. The quality of the work and their professionalism was outstanding. They helped take down a vertical’s curtain and rehung it on completion. They were neat and didn’t leave any construction debris.Bartlett-Brainard was recommended to us before the first project by previous customers who were also very happy with the work they did. I am happy to do the same thing again.“
