“I went to get my hair done. She told me all that was wrong. I dyed my hair and bleached it too, and she told me that my hair was really bad but and she told me not to bleach it or dye it anymore so go with my hair and then she’s gonna go, oh my God, I love your hair. Michelle is so nice.

“The first time I went to a fitness class at Shakeup Makeup, I went by myself and didn't know anyone else attending the class. Marisa made me feel so welcome and the other class members were very friendly and fun. I have tried the Dance, Fusion and Strength classes and I love them all. Marisa's positive attitude and encouragement always make me glad I took the time to attend the class. Not only do I feel better physically, the class reminds me to be kind to myself and just lifts my spirits. These classes are judgment free zones and I push myself to do a little bit more each time. I do not compare how far I can stretch or how much weight I can lift to the other class members, I strive to do a little more each week for myself. Marisa reminds us all to enjoy life and to just be kind and appreciate ourselves. I would recommend these classes to anyone who wants to exercise, feel better about themselves and just have fun. My specific stylists for the day were Taylor for hair and Sarah for make-up.Sabrina was a joy to work with for all the coordination - date, timing, number of ladies getting hair & makeup done, etc. And then Taylor and Sarah were simply FABULOUS. Super fun, professional, and incredibly adept at taking an inspiration picture and bringing it to life. All of my friends raved about the experience with these two!For me personally as the bride, they were a HUGE part of what made me feel absolutely stunning on the day. Taylor was kind enough to do a second hair trial with me to make sure I loved what we were going with (she was just as awesome at the first one, I just changed directions on what I wanted!). “Where can I even begin?! Susan is a literal genius. I went to LUXE for my first time today after a Facebook recommendation at her new location in Somers. It’s such a cute spot. You’re 1:1 with Susan who is incredibly personable and there’s never an awkward silence. She educates you about your skin and makes you part of the choices. She sells all the products she uses so that if you really love something, you have the opportunity to bring it home with you!For 35$ I had my brows waxed, and shaped. They were ratchet and long overdue. She taught me how to fill them in with the perfect eye pencil. This all included a hand treatment which was lovely. With the little extra time she had she applied her matte mineral powder to my face which literally took away all my redness and applied mascara and eyeliner for me! I felt SO beautiful when I left there and I was SO happy that I was able to purchase that matte powder to take home.I will never go anywhere else ever again for my brows. The customer service is superior and Susan is great! HIGHLY recommend.I didn’t take a before picture of myself but I attached an unfiltered after photo!Thanks Susan!“
