I recently enrolled my two children with Marcelo Garcia Jiu Jitsu. I was apprehensive with the level of contact this sport requires. I am pleasantly surprised with the level of professionalism and skill both teachers Ricardo and Ms Kat show with their students. The classes are engaging and Fun. My twins loves their teacher and look forward to class. #FunFridaysRock!
My oldest son has been going to the academy for a little over a year and he definitely enjoys it. They are always friendly and welcoming. Now that my youngest son (3yrs old) is enrolled it definitely gives me peace of mind that his teachers are not just jiu jitsu practitioners but also childcare providers. Definitely recommend the academy to anyone looking for something for the kids this summer.
The Marcelo Garcia Jiu Jitsu Association in Bridgeport has been a blessing from day one. We started with our two smallest kids age 3&4 (now 5&6), then added our 6&8 (now 8&10) year olds. They love it! The instructors are amazing with the kids. A fun environment but disciplined, focused on child and skills development. Our kids’ confidence has grown, self-control improved, physical and psychological stamina increased, and respect for self and others grown. A real sense of community is there, with the instructors knowing each child by name, skill, and ability. Please join! You won’t regret it!
