Undoubtedly, the best barber in Connecticut, Ron at Barber on Main is not just a skilled barber; he's family. I've been going to Ron for 25+ years, and now my son does too. Ron's expertise and warm demeanor create a welcoming experience. He's not just a barber; he's Uncle Ronny to my kids. If you want a reliable and friendly barber who feels like family, Ron at Barber on Main is the one.

Ron is a man's man. It's just him, and he's popular, so you'll need an appointment (although he occasionally takes walk-ins to fill in for no-shows).... Make sure to show up for your appointments and you won't just have a good barber, you'll have a good friend.

First off, I have recently moved to Ansonia and I have always wanted to support local businesses where I live. That being said, I searched through Google and Yelp and the ratings at Barber on Main was great and it is very close to me. I did see it was by appointments only and was hoping he was taking new customers. I was very upfront and transparent that I was hoping to get an appointment. To my delight, Ron was accommodating and gave me some dates that he had open. I booked it quickly.The day of my appointment, he opened the door and apologized that he only does by appointments only and as I was about to introduce myself, he recognized my voice and was SUPER friendly and asked me to come in while he was finishing up with a customer. Mind you I was early.The place is VERY clean; awesome decor if you like that vintage "rat pack" vibe; and the energy that Ron exuded was just great. I felt I found a new Barber and I was not disappointed. He is a great conversationalist and has interesting life experiences which kept me entertained. He is also very professional as he was feeling my hair and asking me what I was looking for style wise. He gave me suggestions of not going to short with my type of hair but will take it short as much he feels is the right length for me.My cut was great! My experience was great! The price was AMAZINGLY cheap!! Again, 10 stars if I could give it but I am definitely going to be a repeat customer! THANK YOU RON!!!
