Moved into a house in 2022, furnace manufactured 2022. Brand new build. The furnace is already having trouble igniting just a little over a year later. It's nothing I did. I'm told by a much better company tech that it was not installed properly. I am so upset about this. A furnace isn't supposed to have issues this soon after being manufactured and installed. Just disgusted. Clanton installed the thing, and I think it's their fault. They'll probably do nothing to fix it based on the reviews here.
These guys are a production company. Once the job is done, it's clear that they don't care about keeping you as a customer. I'm in the HVAC industry and I purchased a home that Clanton installed the HVAC system in. I mentioned to the home builders that the system was not going to work before we even moved in and I gave the reasons why. The builder talked to Clanton and I was assured that the system would work perfectly (I knew better). I assumed that the home builder and Clanton make things right when the system didn't work correctly. I purchased the home in August of '20 and here we are, almost at the end of my year warranty and my HVAC system still doesn't work. I started the warranty process in August as well. I can't make any adjustment due to the fact that it will void the warranty on the system - I shouldn't need to make adjustments in the first place. The owner of Clanton clearly has no knowledge of the industry, of how furnaces and air conditioners or how to condition a home properly, he made that painfully clear when I spoke to him about what needed to be done in order for the system to operate as it was designed. The system was designed by a third party contractor. I spoke to him and he actually puts a disclaimer on his design because he knows the quality or work of the home builder and HVAC contractor. The home builder (Lennar) is at fault just as much as the Clanton contractor. Both of these companies are terrible to work with as far as warranties go. Poor workmanship and even worse communication by all parties. I had to call, text and email multiple times for each issue just to get updates. They have even attempted to pay me thousands of dollar so I would go away, which I was going to take, but they have since rescinded the offer. It makes me sick that Clanton represents an industry that I so passionately care about.
If I could give zero stars I would. Our heater stopped working during these freezing temperatures. Tech said he would get part and come back. Been waiting all afternoon. Guy never showed. Called after hours and was told tech had come and no one was home. So untrue. Been waiting to get furnace fixed so our kids will be warm tonight. After hours guy also refused to come. Told us tech was busy tomorrow installing air conditioning units so he couldn't fix the heater. What?!! Told us to just call another HVAC company. Total mess of a company. Do not use them!
